Ferry Holidays to Jersey

Imagine a family holiday without the stressful slog through an airport, where the luggage allowance has no limits and you can begin to relax and unwind just as soon as you’ve checked in. Travel to Jersey by sea with your car in 2021 and discover a new way to holiday.

Why Travel By Sea?

Drive aboard Condor Ferries’ state of the art high-speed trimaran vessel Liberation and let your holiday begin as you cruise across the English Channel. Grab a drink from the bar or a tasty meal from the onboard restaurant and relax.

Condor Liberation offers a choice of 3 seating options including the Horizon Lounge with a private bar and panoramic views of the seascape ahead, and Club Class seating with steward service. No matter where your seats are located, the Liberation offers plenty of space to move around during your journey and expansive deck areas allow passengers to soak in the sunshine and fresh sea air and perhaps even catch a glimpse of the many dolphins that are residents in Channel Island waters.

With no luggage limit when travelling with your own car you’ll no longer need to choose between your snorkel and those extra socks, and it’s possible to bring your bikes, surfboards and anything else that your heart desires on holiday – you can even bring the dog!*

Arrive in Jersey relaxed and refreshed, and be settling into your accommodation within a matter of minutes.

*Please note that additional charges may apply for roof-boxes and bicycle racks which increase the external size of your vehicle. See our Page Travelling with Dogs for more information on bringing your pet to Jersey.

Where Can I Stay?

Although only 45 miles square, Jersey has a surprising amount of areas that are ‘off the beaten path’, and travelling with your own car means the island is truly your oyster.

Take advantage of not being tied to main roads and bus routes and book one of our unique Jersey Heritage lets, from a historic clifftop Fort to a traditional fisherman’s cottage, a choice of 12 distinctive properties sleep between 4 and 12 people and vary from basic camping amenities to fully renovated luxury.

Equally unique but a little closer to the neighbours, Durrell Wildlife Camp is a glamping experience like no other, where your morning alarm call is provided by the nearby ringtail lemurs and other residents include orangutans, gorillas and over 100 other endangered species.

If your idea of a holiday is more about swimming pools and breakfast in bed than self-catering, Jersey offers a wide range of hotel accommodation of all budgets and grades, with many offering free parking on site.

What Shall We Do?

With a car at your disposal, how you spend your Jersey holiday is only limited by your imagination. Enjoy breakfast under the morning sun in a hidden east coast bay, discover generations of Jersey history at La Hougue Bie or Hamptonne Country Life Museum before lunch, spend the afternoon enjoying the thrills and spills of Amaizin! Adventure Park, and take a spectacular cliff-top walk on the north coast before dinner and sundowners in sweeping St. Ouen’s Bay.

St Ouen's Bay

The compact size of Jersey means that nowhere is much more than a 20-minute drive away, and you can never be more than 2 miles from a breath-taking sea view. The majority of parking outside of St. Helier is free of charge, with the exception of St. Brelade’s Bay, Gorey Harbour and some car parks in St. Aubin. Charges are clearly marked where applicable, and the easiest way to pay is to download the PayByPhone app before you travel.

At the end of a relaxing and adventure-packed break, don’t forget to fill up the tank (fuel is generally lower in price in Jersey than on the mainland) before returning to Elizabeth Harbour to board Condor Liberation and be whisked safely and smoothly home.
