About Surfing In Jersey

Don't miss the chance to try one of the world's most exciting sports, on one of Europe's best surf beaches.

Jersey features a wealth of great surfing conditions, produced by strong swells that travel thousands of miles across the Atlantic Ocean. The main surf break is at St. Ouen's Bay, a three mile long stretch of sand banks that create perfect learning conditions as well as challenging larger swells for experienced surfers.

When the wind changes direction, you can also find favourable conditions at surf spots across the island, from St. Brelade's Bay on the south coast to the north coast beaches of Plemont and Greve de Lecq.

Jersey is home to one of the world's oldest surfing clubs, with surf schools, surf hire and surf advice all available. International competitions are regularly held, including the European longboarding championship tour.
