About La Fais'sie d'Cidre
'La Fais'sie d'Cidre', or Jersey's Cider Festival, is the annual event celebrating Jersey's rich heritage of growing apples and making cider. The festival takes place every October in the grounds of Hamptonne Country Life Museum.
The festival is a fantastic day out for the whole family, as Hamptonne comes to life with cider making, black butter making, stalls, games and live music. There are also, of course, a few chances to taste!
Festival Highlights
- Watch traditional cider making in the original press, as tonnes of apples are crushed by horsepower
- Join musical and artistic events
- Taste ciders from near and far, including a range of locally-made Jersey ciders
- Children can enjoy arts, crafts and games throughout the day
- Enjoy traditional Jersey food, including Jersey Wonders and freshly cooked sausage rolls, ideal with a glass of cider
