Hot on the heels of the previous Gorilla Trail, 2023 brings you the Tortoise Takeover. An island-wide public art trail that will bring together every part of Jersey's community and in turn, protect some of the most threatened species on the planet
The tortoises will be in place from 1st July until 31st August, meaning you have plenty of time to find them all and explore the island, perhaps visit places you may have never seen before.
There are 50 giant tortoise sculptures to find designed and created by talented artists on the trail. There is also 65 young tortoise sculptures, the young tortoises have been designed by local schools and community groups and will pop up in shop windows, office buildings and community spaces across the island.
When the trail starts, you can download the official Tortoise Takeover App, and keep track of how many sculptures you've seen, collect rewards and share your photos #tortoisetakeover
