Culture vultures and country explorers are well catered for, with our network of green lanes giving priority to walkers and cyclists.
And if you're looking for a pitstop after a long ramble in the woods or round the rocky coasts, you're never far from a fantastic local pub or cafe!
The Jersey Evening Post with the support of The Insurance Emporium have compiled a list of 24 scenic Island walking routes, covering all 12 parishes, for you to enjoy.

Jersey Water owns and manages a number of key sites across Jersey.The main two sites that can be enjoyed by the general public are the reservoirs in Queens Valley, and Val de la Mare.
Whether you fancy a gentle stroll around one of our picturesque reservoirs or a more adventurous jog or maybe just want to fish and enjoy the various wildlife that make the reservoirs their home, both sites offer free access all year round to the general public.
There are several walking routes around Queen’s Valley Reservoir, the full circuit is 1.9miles (3.1km). The reservoir has a natural wealth of flora and fauna and is home to many species of birds and wildlife.

Owls are also particularly encouraged at the reservoir – see if you can spot their nesting boxes. An arboretum has also been created at the reservoir. This garden devoted to trees provides a lush and safe environment for wildlife.
