Proudly British, but located just 14 miles from the coast of France, Jersey enjoys the almost unique position of offering a holiday that combines the familiarity of home with a distinctly European flavour. Despite not needing a passport to travel on your Jersey Holiday from the UK (although photographic identification is required) arrivals from Poole harbour drive off the high-speed ferry straight on to ‘La Route du Port Elizabeth’, one of many French language road names that may suggest you’ve found yourself in Brittany rather than on British shores.
Jersey is incredibly easy to explore on foot, with a wide range of diverse terrain within 45 square miles. The landscape varies from shaded woodland valleys, gorse-covered clifftop panoramas, quiet shrub-lined green lanes, twisting and turning reservoir ambles and long dramatic beach walks. If you pick the right walking route, you can experience most of these in just one day during your Jersey holiday.
A new addition to the Island of Jersey is the introduction of the EVieBikes. These are dockless electric bikes that can be found dotted around the Island and can be picked up and ridden with an easy ‘tap and go’ system. Your Jersey holiday wouldn’t be complete without taking a cycle through our quiet lanes and picturesque coastal paths.
